Demand for travel to Busan is clearly growing, and choosing the city for the first K-Tour Pass pilot fits that trend. Based on the pilot’s results, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism plans to expand the benefits across five tourism regions centered on regional airports. Approximately $6,714,000 has been allocated in the proposed 2027 government budget, which has not yet been reviewed by the National Assembly.

Discount Partners
How Do the Discounts at Around 50 Partner Businesses Work?
According to the official FAQ, there is no limit on how many times you can use the partner discounts. That’s the biggest difference from the free attraction benefit, which you can use only once.
Beyond cafés and shopping, partners cover yacht trips, K-beauty, perfume-making, hairstyling, hanbok experiences, wellness, and surfing. Think of these as small savings you can pick up wherever they fit your itinerary over several days, rather than one big discount at a single stop.
WOWPASS
How Do You Collect and Top Up Your WOWPASS Card?

The K-Tour Pass includes one physical WOWPASS card. It combines T-money transit functions with prepaid payment functions, so you can use it on Busan’s subway and buses and at card-accepting merchants throughout South Korea. It won’t work at cash-only businesses.
Receiving the card does not give you free rides on Busan’s subway or buses. The card comes with a zero balance, so you’ll need to top it up before using it.
|
Balance type |
How to top up |
|
Payment balance |
Top up at designated kiosks or through the WOWPASS app. Check the official instructions at the time of use for available payment methods and procedures. |
|

|
Card Collection and Practical Tips · Collection points: dedicated K-TOUR PASS kiosks at Busan Station, Gimhae International Airport, Seoul Station, Gimpo International Airport, and Incheon International Airport · Collection process: look up your eight-digit reservation voucher number, then scan your passport · Already have a WOWPASS? How Do Purchasing, Using, and Refunding the Pass Work?
Buy through Klook or HopnHop to receive a mobile ticket. Show its barcode at participating attractions and partner businesses. Transport discount coupons and mobile tickets are valid through December 31, 2026inclusive.
Staff scan the barcode directly at the venue, so screenshots or printed copies may not be accepted. Open the live barcode screen in your mobile browser and show that instead.
If you haven’t used any benefits, you can request a full refund through the seller. However, a refund may not be available if any of the following applies:
|
· You have registered an AREX, Busan-bound transport, or KORAIL PASS discount coupon, or applied it to a booking. · You have viewed the WOWPASS issuance code in your mobile ticket. · You have used the mobile ticket even once at a free-use attraction or discount partner. |
